Dozing Is Not Planned Napping

Napping is often confused with dozing off. Planned napping is deliberate and intentional. Dozing is involuntary and often suggests that you need to unplug. If you find yourself dozing off @work, then your body is telling you that you’ve HIT THE WALL.

Do you notice a pattern to your dozing off?

  • Only at work
  • Only at your desk
  • Only at certain meetings
  • Only around certain people
  • Only after a big lunch
  • Only after not being exposed to natural light for a certain number of hours
  • Only when bored or under-stimulated
  • Only when avoiding undesirable tasks or people
  • Only after not getting a good night’s sleep the night before
